These are some of the questions at the heart of the latest campaign from The Ministry for the Environment | Manatū Mō Te Taiao.

'Our Climate Future' focuses on what we as individuals can do to reduce our emissions and create a better climate future for all New Zealanders. Taking positive action for the climate does not need to start big. You could bike to work once a week, catch public transport more often, re-use or repurpose your old things, or plant more trees.

It might not sound like a lot, but if everyone starts to make small changes, it adds up to a lot.

As well as highlighting the individual actions each of us can take, the campaign also emphasises what we can achieve collectively. We can talk about climate change with our friends, families, employers, and neighbours. We can go to community meetings and discuss climate matters affecting where we live. We can encourage businesses to make climate-friendly decisions, support them when they do, and much more.

The message from this campaign is simple: 'The decisions we make together today will shape the lives of future generations'. So, let's make good decisions.
